ECO

The Impala ’35 is much more than just a boat. It is a sailing experience that embraces tradition, safety and comfort. Signed by Olin Stephens and built by Cantiere Navale 71, this vessel offers stability and reliability in all sailing conditions.
Description of the boat

Impala '35: Your Offshore Adventure Voyage

Description of the boat

It is a fiberglass sloop suitable for offshore sailing, a “Classic Boat”, born in the early 1970s from the prestigious pencil of Olin Stephens. This is the same project with which Ida Castiglioni participated in the Ostar transatlantic regatta in 1976. It has high course stability given by a significant displacement, pronounced water lines and the presence of a semi-long fin.

The boat, launched in 1982, is in excellent condition and has all safety certificates. I am its “lucky” third owner. Eco has always been treated like a queen of the seas, cared for and pampered. It has a new engine with only 300 hours and a very respectable set of sails. The electronic instrumentation on board allows for even very demanding navigation. It’s a boat that sails a lot and just wants to sail.

With a length of 10.70 meters, the Impala ’35 offers everything you need for an unforgettable journey. Its features include a double bow cabin, a guard cabin and a large saloon that can accommodate up to 4 people. Equipped with an electric bathroom with macerator, a four-burner stove, oven and refrigerator, the Impala ’35 allows you to cook and eat comfortably even during the longest journeys. Outside, you can enjoy the sun and the sea from the teak cockpit, equipped with an awning, canopy and a cockpit table.

Mood on board

It is a convinced “Europeanist and pacifist” boat, on board there is no room for intolerance, but only for respect. It is my home and I willingly share it with those who love the sea, nature, sport, silence, diversity, culture, reading. It is not a monothematic boat. We won’t just talk about sailing and boats. It is a boat that loves discussion and dialogue. On board you don’t scream, but you relax. Decisions will be shared respecting everyone’s needs. We will give maximum importance to safety and weather conditions. Bad weather no sail.

Peace and love!

FAQs

Is it possible to park near the port of Giulianova?

Yes, there are several paid (inexpensive) and non-paid car parks.

How can I get to Giulianova?

It is preferable to get there by train, it is very well connected to the station and a few minutes walk from the port. But I can come get you too. We reduce our environmental impact where possible.

The galley?

We can do it together or you can send me your shopping list and I’ll have everything ready… prosecco included… of course!

The baggage?

Few but good things, a set for the cold and rain (I have a few more oilskins on board), but it is preferable to have at least a waterproof jacket. Comfortable and cool shoes to use while sailing. Hat, glasses and sunscreen… and of course, the swimsuit!

The bathroom

There is only one bathroom on board that we will have to share. The toilet is of the latest generation, electric and with macerator. There is no black water tank.

The fresh water shower is external, but should be used sparingly.

Normally, I use a marine bubble bath that can be used with sea water, excellent and ecological!!!No hairdryer.

The kitchen?

The kitchen is equipped with 4 burners and oven, various cookware and glass glasses (no plastic), cockpit fridge. It is possible to cook whatever you want.

How do you sleep on board?

There is a forward cabin that offers all the necessary privacy, with direct access to the bathroom. The square can accommodate two more people.

I sleep in the fourth room.

How do you go ashore?

With tender or SUP

The Skipper?

He’s not a pro, he’s a teacher of Philosophy.

He has always been at sea, he is passionate about the sea, he is in love with boats and has good sailing experience, as well as specialization courses.

He loves reading, sports, meditation, politics and aperitif time!!!

Safety, respect for others and nature are his mood.

He’s usually nice… but he’s still a professor….what does the Skipper do…

Safety equipment?

They are already on board.

The crossing?

It lasts from 13 to 20 hours, depending on the route and weather conditions. If there is no wind you go motor.

Are we going to the tourist port?

As little as possible
